Ludacris To Perform At LG Action Sports World Championships!!!

Rapper/actor Ludacris will bring his own brand of action to the stage this weekend, as part of the LG Action Sports World Championships.

The event, which is scheduled to take place Nov. 9 - 11 at the Reunion Arena in Dallas, is the culmination of the 2007 competition season for skateboarding, BMX, inline skating and freestyle motocross (FMX) pro athletes.

Athletes from 20 countries will compete at the event, including a host of X Games and World Champions. Qualifying athletes are chosen for the Championships based on their results from a series of 22 qualifier events around the world.

Among those expected to participate are Dave Mirra (USA), Bucky Lasek (USA), Bob Burnquist (BRA), Ryan Nyquist (USA), Jamie Bestwick (UK), Fabiola da Silva (BRA) and Takeshi Yasutoko (JAP) and others.

This year’s Championships marks the fifth year that LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) has sponsored the event.

In addition to Ludacris, rapper/producer Kanye West will perform live on the LG Mobile Phones music stage along with American Idol star Blake Lewis and alternative rock band Cartel.

West will hit the stage on Friday (Nov. 9), while Ludacris will perform on Saturday (Nov. 10) Considered as the "Super Bowl" of action sports, the LG Action Sports World Championships is open to all athletes from around the world with entry based solely on their collective performances and rankings from the entire season.

Competitors for the event will compete for $650,000 in prize money as the event will feature the largest television coverage of any event in action sports history, with three hours of national television coverage on CBS, 16 hours on Spike TV, 24 hours on Sportsnet NY and 25 hours on Fuel TV.

Globally, the event will be seen in 180 countries on 22 networks that reach more than 1.2 billion viewers.
