Hip-hop duo Clipse has blasted rapper Lil Wayne for proclaiming he is the "greatest rapper alive", insisting he has only risen to fame by copying other people's styles. The Wamp Wamp hitmakers claim Lil' Wayne's boasting of his lyrical skills are laughable because he is constantly trying to imitate his peers Jay-Z and Jim Jones. Rapper Pusha T says, "You can't bite everybody's styles. You can't try to rap like Jay-Z, dress like the Clipse, become a coke dealer after five albums, and now dress like Jim Jones. You can't do all that and be a legend. You have to be a trendsetter and he ain't setting any trends." This is not the first time the two parties have been caught up in a war of words - they last exchanged insults in 2006 when Lil' Wayne criticized their lack of presence in the music industry and hit out at the duo's mentor, superproducer Pharrell Williams. He proclaimed: "I don't see no f**king Clipse. This is a f**king legend you're talking to right here. Who the f**k is Pharrell?"
